An amazing transformation and Tone It Up Nutrition Plan review from Kate!


Hi everyone! My name is Kate Hendrickson. The plan and team has changed me. Thing is, I’m not sure I can fully explain it. I joined the program as a way to get in shape for a summer vacation, but it turned out that it and the amazing TIU team, really ended up changing my life forever.

I grew up as an athlete. I played almost every sport starting at the age of five. I continued this throughout my childhood, including when I went to college at the University of Miami, where I rose to become not only the President of our women’s lacrosse program, but also the Chairman for all club sports in the entire university! It was amazing. The gym was right next door to where I lived so I could go at any time, plus I was guaranteed at least two hours of practice and games every day.

Once I graduated, I tried to keep that going, but as I’m sure many can relate, “real life”, complete with a full-time job, hits you like a ton of bricks. You’re up early to get to work, get stressed all the time, and by the time you get home you’re always tired and somewhat unmotivated (if not entirely). For me, it also didn’t help that I was in a new city where I knew no one. I made a few friends and went out to try and meet more. Unfortunately, this added to my already hectic lifestyle and a lot of the times it added to my unhealthy habits. Going out to eat all the time, drinking more than I should. It was fun for a little, but then I realized I was breaking down.

It was bad for my physical health and mental health. Additionally, even when I kind of broke out of that habit, I still made excuses not to workout. I’d plan workouts, but then I’d miss one and get so frustrated with myself that I’d end up quitting. I often thought, “I’m an athlete. I know how this works. One workout here and there isn’t really helping, so what’s the point. I’ll start again fresh next Monday.” Then that Monday never came. Excuse after excuse.

Then Tone It Up came along. And just in time if you ask me! Finding Tone It Up was step one. It automatically adjusted my course and helped me head in the right direction. Then step two was purchasing the Nutrition Plan. I’ve never been successful with other diets or plans. They are often too rigid with no explanation, workout incorporation, etc. The plan is amazing. Not only are the recipes delicious, but Karena and Katrina back everything up with education. I can’t begin to count the number of nutritional and helpful facts I’ve learned. And it’s not a “eat one can of tuna and three carrot sticks” kind of layout. They provide information and ideas to you, so YOU can make educated, healthy decisions. Plus, they keep evolving and improving.

Once you’re a Member, you’re a Member for life! They not only update the plan almost every season, they also send weekly emails with recipes and ideas! I’m constantly trying new things to keep myself healthy and intrigued. Karena, Katrina, and the team have made me accountable for myself. No more excuses. No more lack of motivation (DEFINITELY no lack of that)! This team inspires and motivates me every single day.
