Healthy Vegan Pizza Recipe

Sometimes all ya need is a slice of pizza! This easy to make healthy vegan pizza is perfect to whip up when that's just what you're craving! After a trip to New York City, we were inspired to re-create NYC's famous pizza, TIU approved of course! We recommend enjoying with a glass of vino😉🍕🍷

INGREDIENTS

  • 1

    whole wheat or gluten free pita bread

  • 1/4

    cup pizza sauce

  • 2

    Tbsp. almond or cashew cheese

  • 1/4

    cup red onion, sliced

  • 3

    baby artichokes, sliced

  • dried chili flakes

  • fresh basil, diced

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
STEP 2: Lay your pita bread on a baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce on top with a spoon. Add the cashew cheese, red onion, and baby artichokes. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 3: Before serving, add a sprinkle of chili flakes and fresh basil. Enjoy!

    1. Or you can always try cauliflower crust base, so yummy!!! I’ve just tried this out and now prefer this way instead of a breading and such. 😁

  4. Can you use goat cheese or regular cheese for this ?!
    Also do you girls have a cauliflower pizza recipe I just started to make them and put some fresh veggies I had leftover, arugula and EVO with goat cheese and just WOW absolutely amazing !

    1. Hi babe! You can swap in your favorite cheese. We like to keep it light on dairy so we love vegan cheese. We have cauliflower crust recipes here!
