It’s time to celebrate the summer and we’re pumped for some festive outdoor get-togethers! Labor Day weekend is the perfect, most GOR-GEOUS time of year to throw a picnic party! Not sure how to make your usual potluck fare TIU Nutrition Plan Approved? We’ve got you girl! Today, we’re sharing three of our favorite crowd pleasers that hold up well, taste AMAZE, and will look Insta-perfect on a cute lil’ checkered blanket!! ;)

Cauliflower Tabbouleh

This is one of our go-tos for a light, yet satisfying salad. It can be served on it’s own or paired with chickpeas, tofu, chicken or fish! We swapped in cauliflower instead of bulgur wheat or couscous for this traditional middle eastern dish. We love the varying flavors and freshness brought in by the cucumber, herbs and green onions.  Plus, you’ll have leftover mint to add to some sparkling water!! Yummmm…

Three Bean Salad

This salad is one of Karena’s all time favorite recipes and featured from the 8 Week Bikini Program from the Nutrition Plan!!! It’s SO EASY but will blow your taste buds away with flavor! You literally just throw all of the ingredients into a bowl, toss together, and BOOM! You’ve got yourself a yummy meal! You can top this over kale, quinoa, or just eat on its own! Plus, it tastes better after a few hours of marinating, making it the perfect dish for a picnic potluck! Check out the recipe below!

Combine all of the below ingredients in a bowl. Mix and it’s ready to go! This recipe makes 3 servings. ;)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup cannellini beans

1/2 cup garbanzo beans

1/2 cup kidney beans

1/4 cup diced celery

2 Tbsp. chopped red onions

2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

2 Tbsp. chopped rosemary

2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar

2 Tbsp. olive oil

a pinch of salt and pepper

Quinoa Cookie

Picnic… meet your sweet treat. This recipe is made with quinoa flour, making it naturally gluten free. We love this cookie dipped in an almond milk latte or just on its own! You can make these the night before and store them in a glass container for the next day! Plus, you can save any leftovers for your breakfast during the next week! YUP! This cookie is totally TIU Nutrition Plan approved for your breakfast, too! Yasss girl!!!

  2. Hey K&K!! Would you please right an article, about cheese/diary? Is it or is it not tiu aproved? what are the effects from eating cheese/diary on my metabolism,skin/ etc? and if it’s approved which kind of cheese/diary can we eat and how much weekly? what is your
    simncere advice?
