SUNDAY RUNDAY | Don’t Just Run…. Get Lit with HIIT!

It’s SUNDAY RUNDAY!! Lace up your tennies and get ready to sweat!

Today we’re spicing up your run! That basic jog is about to be kicked up a notch with burpees, squat jumps and high skips. YUP! This is how you turn a run into a scorching HIIT routine.

You’re going to LOVE it! You’ll raise your heart rate BIG TIME and crank up your metabolism while toning your booty, quads, hamstrings and calves. The whole workout is 20 minutes, but because of the frequent intervals, your mind will be focused on what you’re doing next and the time will fly by!


This is a high intensity routine, so you can incorporate it into your workouts 1-2 times a week! Now, grab your girls and let’s hit the ground running! This workout is best done with gal pals! ;)

  1. Hey guys! Any tips on how you toggle betweenthe treadmill execises and the floor execises at the gym? Thanks!

    1. Hey Nicole! I have found treadmills at my gym that have longer periods where you can pause the workout (60 seconds on mine), so I hit pause, do the exercise, then jump back on and hit start. I don’t have any fancy tips other than stop/start, stop/start :) but would love to hear if there are other cool ways with a bit less disruption between each transition.

  2. How does the community time themselves? I’ve seen so many of these awesome workouts, but I haven’t tried any because I don’t know how I would time myself.

    Have any suggestions?

    1. hey girl – I downloaded an interval timer app on my phone! I don’t remember the name but if you look up HIIt timer or interval timer on yor phone it will pop up and it is a blue thingy with 0:30 on it. I am actually shocked that TIU hasn’t made a TIU timer yet! Until then, this one works great. :)

      1. Thanks for the tip! Do you print it out & hold while you are running or does the interval timer let you type in what to do- no way I could remember it all lol

        1. I just downloaded an interval timer app called Impetus and it has settings where you can add your custom sets + audio notification of what the next set is! I plan to do this workout at the beach tmrw so will be glad not to have to look at my phone constantly!

  3. I miss the free workout options for the daily workouts. I’ve noticed lately you aren’t including them every day or just referring to the Beach Babe DVD workouts.

    1. I’m right there with ya. I’ve only purchased a few premium workouts so when they reference a BB3 or 4 workout I just swap it out with a free one that works the same areas. Hope that helps!
