Tell us about yourself!
I’m a 31-year-old Tone It Up girl living in Frederick, MD with my #tiubf and #tiukitty. I love working out, running, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
How did the Tone It Up Nutrition Plan contribute to your success?
It changed the way I think about food. I learned so many things about how food affects your body and how to take care of it. I love cooking and baking, and the Nutrition Plan has everything I need to create such great, delicious recipes that are easy to follow. I traveled during the #TIU31 challenge and had setbacks getting back into my routine. I dedicated November to myself and my goals, and November – December was where I saw so many changes both physically and mentally. I feel on top of the world and so strong!
What inspired you to make a change in your life?
I had foot surgery and I stopped working out. I became so unhappy inside and out. Clothes wouldn’t fit and I felt awful. I wanted a change but didn’t know how. My twin sister, Liz (@tiu_liz1985), was my inspiration to make the change, as she introduced me to Tone it Up and I never looked back. I wanted to take control of my health and my life, and Tone it Up helped me do just that.
How did you motivate yourself to keep going?
At first it was seeing results, then it was making new fitness goals like running a 10K and a 10-miler race. I have accomplished things I never thought I could. Next, this amazing TIU community. I have met so many amazing girls along my journey through Instagram or the TIU Retreats I’ve attended. We are constantly supporting each other to keep going.
What are your go-to Tone It Up Nutrition Plan meals and snacks?
Almond Butter Cookie Smoothie from the new 6 Week Meal Plan, Walnut Crusted Salmon, Lemon Honey Overnight Oats, Blueberry Oat Bars, Perfect Fit Donuts (literally every week), Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos, and Tray Dinners!

Do you have any advice for this team?
You can do it! It is possible! One step at a time. Be patient and put in the effort and the rest will follow. Tone It Up is a lifestyle, not a diet and helps you find a balance. If you have setbacks, don’t be hard on yourself. Be kind to yourself and refocus. We’ve all been there! Find support in your TIU community. This challenge will grow your confidence, health, and self-love. When you take care of yourself, you’re happy and it shows and extends outs. Like a ripple effect. :)
