  1. 1 tbsp of coconut oil works great in replace of bananas. I’ve done it with the pancakes as well.

  2. I have used greek yogurt (1/4 c.) when I have been out of bananas and it worked well! Tasted great, had to cook them a little longer but it did not take much extra time at all. Enjoy!

  3. These waffles are exploding in my waffle maker… I have no idea why they are not turning out. Anyone else experience problems?

  4. OMG my waffles are a complete disaster! What am I doing wrong? I followed the recipe for the vegan waffles that use flax “eggs”…complete sticky mess. I tried the pancakes the other week and same thing – did not cook right?! Is anyone getting these to work? I just wasted a lot of my Sunday meal prep trying to make these in a large batch for my whole family for the week… :(

    1. Made theee and they turned out great!!! Two key things. Make sure the batter is well mixed! I used my food processor to get smooth batter. I even used flax meal substitute because we were out of eggs. Second, make sure your waffle iron is plenty hot and ready to cook.
I don’t even have a fancy waffle iron

  5. I have had 3 attempts and all ended in disaster… From the consistency, to the texture and the outcome….plus mine look an off brown color..
Alot of ingredients wasted so far to try and make these work….tried with banana and greek yogurt too…
Shame as i was really hoping that these would be a weekly staple…. :(

  6. Great recipe! So yummy, and the rest of the family didn’t even know I had a different waffle then they did.

  7. Love this recipe and they came out perfect in my waffle maker. I swapped out regular vanilla tiu protein for chocolate today cause I ran out of vanilla and still soooo delicious! I may even like them more with the chocolate protein :)

  8. I doubled the recipe and added in extra almond milk. They turned out perfect! Definitely needed the added liquid. I had made the pancakes last week and they were a bit dry. I’ll try them next time with more almond milk.
