NEW Recipe: Warming Slimdown Soup

Parsnips, peeled and thinly sliced, baby carrots or 2 sliced and peeled carrots, mushrooms, sliced, scallions, chopped, low sodium vegetable broth, water, chickpeas, rinsed and drained, fresh thyme, stems removed, fresh rosemary, stems removed, garlic cloves, minced, olive oil, sea salt, pepper to taste, white chicken meat, cooked and shredded (optional), dash of hot sauce (optional), parsley for garnish, Set your Crockpot to high and add all ingredients, oil first and mix well. Allow to slow cook on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with extra hot sauce & fresh herbs!; - While the skies are mostly blue here in Southern California, the temps have been cool, and we know many of you on the other side of the country are feeling the winter chill! Soup is always a satisfying option for lunch or dinner this time of year. It's also the perfect base for fiber-rich, filling veggies.
