Make your own Neapolitan FroYo!

Gimme, gimme, gimme! Healthy_Neapolitan_Froyo_Recipe_Tone_It_Up

This heat wave has us craving froyo, so we decided to whip up our own healthy version! This frozen yogurt treat is made with healthy, whole ingredients that will satisfy your sweet tooth while staying TIU Nutrition Plan Approved! Each layer has its own delicious, slightly tart flavor from the yogurt, along with a creamy texture from the coconut cream. It's downright delicious! We could barely get through the photo sesh, before diving in!

This sweet treat makes 2 servings, perfect for sharing with your best gal pal on a warm summer evening!

INGREDIENTS

  • Vanilla
  • 5

    Tbsp greek or almond yogurt

  • 1

    tsp honey

  • 2

    Tbsp coconut cream

  • 1/4

    tsp vanilla extract

  • Chocolate
  • 5

    Tbsp greek or almond yogurt

  • 1

    tsp honey

  • 1

    tsp cacao powder

  • 2

    Tbsp coconut cream

  • Strawberry
  • 5

    Tbsp greek or almond yogurt

  • 1

    tsp honey

  • 2

    thawed or fresh strawberries

  • 2

    Tbsp coconut cream

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1: First, blend all of the ingredients for the strawberry layer in a food processor or blender. Split into two different containers and place in the freezer for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the next layer.
STEP 2: Blend the ingredients for the vanilla layer. Once the strawberry layer is frozen, top each one with the vanilla layer. Put back in the freezer for another 15 minutes while you prepare the last layer.
STEP 3: Blend the ingredients for the chocolate layer. Once the vanilla layer is frozen, top each one with the chocolate layer. Freeze for another 15 minutes. Enjoy!

AUTHOR NOTES

We recommend switching the FroYo from the freezer to the fridge about 10 minutes before you want to eat it. That way, it won't be too frozen when you go to spoon some out! ;)
