How To Do A Fierce Purple Cat Eye

I loveee a good cat eye! 😻 It’s so versatile! I’ll do a natural cat eye for the office and a more dramatic look for a night out with the girls. Today our girlfriend and makeup artist Ashley is showing us how to add a vibrant pop of color to the look!⚡️Using color is such a fun way to mix it up and make your eyes stand out. I chose purple to accentuate my hazel eyes. Ashley recommends using a color opposite of your eyes on the color wheel (blue-eyed babes go for golden-brown tones and brown eyed girls go for dark blues) To get the most out of this fun look, keep the rest of your makeup neutral so your eyes are the spotlight!

When you try this tutorial, share a pic on Insta #TIUteam. I can’t wait to see what color you choose! And check out Ashley’s amazing tips for the purrrrfect cat eye below! 🐱 You’re going to look SO fierce!

*Make Up Forever Aqua XL Color Paint ~  This gel-based eyeliner is great to use with a small angled eyeliner brush for better precision! Plus, it comes in so many different colors!

*Bioderma Makeup Remover ~ This makeup remover is non-oily and easy to clean and sharpen your cat eye wing with a Q-tip. I also love this Garnier Miscellar Water for a non-oil based makeup remover!

Ashley’s Tips ~

* Start by creating a dotted line along your lash line with the edge of an angled brush. Then go back in and connect the dots instead of trying to draw a straight line across. Start in the middle and work your way to the outer edge of your eye, and then go back to apply on your inner corner.

*When applying your cat eye wing, look straight forward with eyes open and tap the angled brush to make your dotted line going toward the end of your brow. Then go in and connect the dots to form your line. However thick or thin you want your wing is up to you. To clean up the line for precision, take a small Q-tip and makeup remover along the edge of your wing.
